Outdoor Safety

Outdoor Safety

While staying in our homes is safest during the COVID-19 pandemic, every now and then we want to get outside to breathe in the fresh air and enjoy the warm California sunshine.

If you plan to go out for some exercise, or to simply walk your dog, please follow the CDC guidelines for safety.

Feeling Anxious?

It's common to feel anxious when we don't know all of the answers. For example, we don't know when life will be back to normal. It may be a long time before we get back to life as we lived it before COVID-19. When Vocational Visions reopens, we know we are going to have to do some things differently so we can be as safe as possible. We don't know yet just how things will change, but, we know they will. All of this uncertainty can make us anxious. How can we feel better when no one has all of the answers we want? One thing we can do is watch this video and follow these calming exercises. We promise that things will get better.

Social Distancing

Social Distancing

Social distancing means we need to keep at least 6 feet away froom other people who we don't live with so we don't catch or spread any germs. If we live with someone who has COVID-19 or is experiencing some symptoms, we need to social distance from them too. Just how FAR apart is 6 feet apart?

Feeling Lonely?

It can be difficult to follow social distancing rules because we can't do all of things we used to do the way we used to do them. This sometimes makes us feel sad, lonely, worried, frustrated, nervous or anxious. All of these feelings are normal. For example, all around the world, we are experiencing loneliness while social distancing because humans are naturally social. Watch this video for 3 tips to help with feelings of loneliness.
